There’s a little confusion online about the JPX Jet Protector from Piexon. Most people are familiar with the fact that it is an incredible pepper gun. But, the confusion really comes from a branding issue. Unfortunately for the brand, I don’t see things getting any clearer anytime soon.
The first issue came about when KIMBER America used to be the US Distributor for the pepper gun. And, so, many websites, as well as many customers, still refer to the unit as being the Kimber Jet Protector. Or, some other similar name. But, some time ago, Kimber either lost or gave up their rights to the distributorship.
Now, Piexon, the one and only company who makes the JPX Jet Protector and whom is based in Switzerland, has enlisted a company out of Arizona to be the US Distributor for the Jet Protector. However, even they are selling the unit under different names. The civilian customer will see the unit as the JPX Jet Protector. But, the law enforcement customer “may” see the unit as the Cobra. And, as such, websites which are geared for one market or the either may label the pepper gun either way, or possibly even both.
So, just know that there is only one gun being made that even comes close to the look and ability of the JPX Jet Protector from Piexon aka Cobra, and past references of Kimber. Get yours from SmartStun.com and know that you’re getting the best self defense weapon available today.
